Through the red envelope, one of the most widely recognized traditions associated with the Lunar New Year, Stacy Nguyen’s Vietnamese-centric designs give visibility to Vietnamese communities on a holiday that is often regarded as Chinese New Year. This is most notable this year where the Vietnamese and Chinese zodiacs diverge. In Vietnamese culture, it is the Year of the Cat; whereas in Chinese culture, it is Year of the Rabbit.
